Import prices up 0.3% in December, led by higher fuel prices; export prices fall 0.2%

U.S. import prices increased 0.3 percent in December, after ticking up 0.1 percent in November. The price index for U.S. exports fell 0.2 percent in December following a0.2-percent rise in November. In 2019, import prices rose 0.5 percent and export prices declined 0.7 percent.
